TransferTo Announces Good Results on Indosat's First Ramadan Promotion for International Top-Up Service

TransferTo, a leading global airtime network, announces good results on the first Ramadan promotion for international top-up thanks to a cross-border collaboration between Malaysian mobile operators and PT Indosat Tbk. ("Indosat"), a leading telecommunications and information service provider in Indonesia.

During the holy month of Ramadan, all Indosat customers, who received a 50,000 Indonesian Rupiah top-up from a relative living and working in Malaysia, were rewarded with an additional 5,000 Indonesian Rupiah top-up. The joint advertisement through SMS broadcasting in both Indonesia and Malaysia increased 8 times the usual amount of top-up sent per day.

"These results show the relevancy of a joint communication in both sender and receiver country to maximise the impact of the promotion," explains Eric Barbier, TransferTo Managing Director "Our network not only interconnects operators from both emerging and developed countries but also gives them the opportunity to work together to address a new market which has traditionally been neglected."
